ASSAULT ALLEGED.
ON LITTLE GIRL. YOUNG MAN REMANDED. George Douglas Campbell (25), for whom Mr. Singer appeared, was charged at the Police Court this morning before Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M. with having indecently assaulted a girl, aged two years and three months, at Auckland on September 4. On the application of the police, who said that the charge was not as serious as it looked, Campbell was remanded to appear on September 13. Bail, £50, was allowed, accused to report himself to the police daily.
