GOLD LURE.
RUSH TO FAR NORTH. TORONTO, July 20. The Hudson's Bay district in Northern Canada, is swarming with expeditions seeking new mining prospects, following the successful flotation of several properties that are being developed on a huge scale. Development expenses for the erection of smelters and opening up mines in North-western Manitoba, already run to £40,000,000 or £50,000,000. Some expeditions left St. John and Halifax by a steamer, which went around Labrador into Hudson's Bay. Others are going overland with aeroplanes/ taking provisions to last two years and supplies for gasoline depots.
