WELLINGTON, Tuesday. r The secretary reported at to-night's • meeting of the New Zealand Football Association council that he had written to the North Auckland Association in 1 reference to the Brown Shield match 1 with South Auckland. The latter ! wrote that there was a big Rugby game in South Auckland on July 28 and recommended that the shield match . should not be played on that date. In • the past South Auckland had worked ; hand in hand with Rugby, and unless , that could be continued the game Would be seriously affected in the district. Under the circumstances the council did e not think it wise for the match to take i place on that date, and therefore left ; the date, August 11, for the match. The , reply was approved.
