AUCKLAND SHAREMARKET.

TRANSACTIONS ON 'CHANGE.

Business was done at the third cal yesterday in Colonial Sugar Refining Company shares at £59 17/6. War Loans were a little better to-day, buyers offering £98 15/ for the 4% per cent issue, repayable 1027 to 1941. The 1938 and 1939 loans were wanted at £98 12/6 for all four issues, but for the 1930, £98 is still the best offer. At the first call to-day, Xational Insurance had reported sales at 16/, and New Zealand Insurance changed hands at noon at £2 2, 6. Sales were made yesterday afternoon, and again to-day, of Taupiri Coal at £1 6/9. Business was done yesterday afternoon in National Timber, at 8/6. and to-day buyers did not quote. Hayward's Pictures sold at £1 this morning, which is a slight advance. Commercial Bank, ordinary shares, were placed at £1 10/, and bu3 T ers offered £5C for Bank of Xew South Wales. New Zealand Breweries were wanted at £2 3/, but sellers now ask £2 5/. C. L. Innes shares have buyers at 16/ for the ordinary shares, and a 1/ extra for the preference issue. BUSINESS DONE.
