KARAMU ROAD BLOCKED.
(By Telegraph.— Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON", this day. The Waikato River has not risen a great deal, but it is rather slow to rise after excessive rain. The rise of the Waipa also is delayed until the waters gather from above, when it rises rapidly. At present it has not risen a jrreat deal, though some of the smaller streams are swollen with water from the hills. The Kaniwaniwha. has flooded over the main Karainu Road to a depth of .sft, and the water is above the handrail of the bridge, blocking access between Karamu and Hamilton. Traffic has been diverted to the circuitous Pirongia - Xgahinepouri route. Only minor slips are reported in Raglan county, over and above the washing away of the Okcte River bridge, near Raglan.
