DAIRY INDUSTRY.
NORTHERN WAIROA. The twenty-sixth annual report and bal-ance-sheet of the Northern Wairoa Dairy Co. shows that, after allowing depreciation on buildings £739, plant £1448, and miscellaneous £1386, there is a balance of £40,520. The directors propose that this be disposed of as follows: —Interest at 6 per cent on shares, £1649; final payments, June, July and August, at 3.75 d, £2909; September to May, 2.50 d, £35,883; leaving a balance of £83. There were made during the season 1984.67 tons of butter, being an increase of 41.23 ton", as compared with the previous year. The above-mentioned payment? will bring the average price paid to 17.698 per lb bqiterfat, and with cream cartage added, 18.31 per lb .
