CAR'S BRAKES DEFECTIVE.

PAPAKURA, Monday
Roy Collecutt, of Papakura, was fined £5 to-day for having driven a car while its brakes were defective. John Lewis, owner of the car, was fln«d £2 for having allowed the car to be used while the brakes were defective.
The prosecutions were the sequel to an accident which occurred on the Run-ciman-Pukekohe road on the evening of June 1, when a car driven by Collecutt got out of control and overturned at the bottom of a hill, with the result that cum of the occupants, Mrs. L G. Mack, of J Papakura,,w«s Wiled.
