METHODISTS' FAREWELL.
The Penrose Methodist Church was crowded last night witli members and friends who entertained Mrs. Vincent at a farewell social, on the eve of her departure for Manurewa. The Rev. F. K. Lead ley presided. Student Walter Parker represented the students at the Auckland Methodist Collge, who have always occupied the "Prophets Chamber" at Mrs. Vincent's home when taking preaching appointment at the Penrose Church. The guest of the evening was the recipient of presents from the church, the ladies' guild, the senior I'.iMe class and the Sunday school. The chairman, in making the presentations to Mrs Vincent, said she and her family had resided at Penrose for 24 years, and she had been a member of and a most efficient worker in the Methodist Church there since it was first established. They were all very sorry to lose her, and they wished her every happiness in her new home. Miss Edna Vincent Ttpfied for her mother. A musical programme was given during the even"tjfc interspersed with games.
