SUCCESSFUL DANCE.
Gaily coloured flags and clusters of balloons made bright decoration at the Parish Hall, Devonport, last night, when i the Devonport Yacht Club held a most successful dance. In the supper room, stately Phoenix palms lined the walls, and the club's colours, red and white, were used most effectively on the tables. The music, supplied by the Kit Kat Orchestra, was much appreciated. The dance was well attended, and things went with a decided swing. The ladies of the committee present were: Mrs. W. Ahlers, wearing a frock of black chiffon velvet with fringe; Mrs. L. Dacre, black georgette, with crystal embroideries; Miss D. Duder, amethyst satin embossed; Miss M. Mason, love-in-the-mist blue brocaded frock; Miss Gwen McGlaahun, frock of silver lame over palest pink georgette; Miss J. Munn, black velvet with scarlet shoulder posy; Miss Nora Mason, tangerine ring velvet; Miss F. Fitchett, pale pink georgette and silver lace; Miss Phyllis Macindoe, cream georgette, hand-painted; Miss T. Spraggo:, blue shot taffeta, with silver. Among tlie guests present were: Mrs. Ensoll, wearing black lace and georgette; Mrs. f . McKenzie, black ring velvet frock; " hs. Price, black georgette and silver; Miss K. Fitchett, japonica georgette; Miss M. Reed, petunia lace and geor'pttc; Miss H. Bailey, jade georgette vith ostrich feather trimming; Miss M. Webb, ecru lace over satin; Miss King, 'idlest pink velvet; Miss M. Coleman, use taffeta and silver lace; Miss IT. Burns, pale pink georgette; Miss M. Miller, "u i pure lace over blush pink satin; Miss r„ Fraser, cyclamen pink taffeta; Miss ■ I rather barrow, black georgette with 'i 'Oriental embroideries; Miss N.
