AUCKLAND IMPORTS.
RETURN'S FOR APRIL. The volume of imports received in .e Port of Auckland during the month >f April of this year is indicated by the fact that the total was estimated at 69,094 tons. For the corresponding month of last year the total was 88,851 tons. Last month's total was made up as follows: Coastal (beyond Auckland orovincc). 20.(571 tons: Western Pacific Elands, 2050 tons; Australia, 8220 tons; Belgium, 7304 tons (manures): United Kingdom, 12,472 tons (including 1835 f ons manures); Canada, 4093 tons; United States, 14.275 tons. During April 968 people arrived at the Port of Auckland and 1657 departed. Australians were the principal visitors, f>.">4 people com ins to Auckland from the Commonwealth and 1041 leaving Xrw Zealand for Australia.
