NEW FERRY LANDING.
WORK AT MECHANICS' BAY.
A number of contracts in connection with the erection of the new vehicular ferry landing at Mechanics' Bay have already been let by the Auckland Harbour Board, and negotiations for the carrying out of other works are proceeding.
The four main abutment piles for the landing have been concreted and will be driven at an early date. Surveys have been made and the work set out, and approval of the detailed plans is being sought from the Marine Department.
