MAN DROWNED IN HARBOUR.
Mark Bernie Breeze, aged 32, was drowned at the Queen's wharf, Wellington. at about S o'clock 011 Saturday night. He was seen to sit 011 a stringer, but overbalanced and fell into the sea, and the alarm was given to Harbour Board officials. The man could be seen floating face downwards in the water, and when a lifeboat arrived on the scene he had disappeared. The body was recovered underneath the wharf on Sunday, during dragging operations. Breeze had been living with his wife at 132, Sydney Street, and was employed at an oil store at Kaiwarra. He was a returned soldier, and followed the occupation of linotype operator before enlisting.
