GRAMMAR AND 'VARSITY DRAW.
Grammar Old Boys met University on No. 1 ground and an Interesting exhibition resulted In a draw, each side scoring eight points. The same was very evenly contested throughout with many bright incidents.
No score took place in the first spell and In the second Bush, the 'Varsity full, opened the account with three for a penalty goal. Pat Skelton, with a tricky bit of work, completely beat the opposition and passed to Hutchison, who scored the try and converted it himself. In the third quarter fine work by Keene and Macintosh resulted in the letter. scoring after a very powerful run. N. Jenkin converted. The advantage of 8 to 5 did not rest with 'Varsity long for the heavy Grammar forwards forced the blues towards Uielr lines and Pat Skelton equalised the scores with a nice penalty kick. Grammar 8 University 8 Mr. F. E. Sutherland was referee.
