THE WAIKATO MEETING.
SOLID ACCEPTANCES FOR FIRST DAY.
If big fields point to success then the Waikato Racing Club committee should be in a very happy position when the meeting to be held on Saturday and Monday is entered up. For the eight events carded owners have made a generous response, and when acceptances closed last evening it was found that the total acceptances reached 163, an average of 20 a race. The Storey Memorial Cup has 10 engaged, the President's Handicap 17, while the biggest field will line up in the Maiden Stakes, for which there is an acceptance of 39.
