AFTER BOLTING FROM POLICE

Appearing on remand to-day, Charles .Edward 15 lack lock faced a charge of stealing a motor bicycle valued at £90.
The Chief Detective said that accused bolted after being interviewed by the police, but he gave liimaelf up later on.
Acting Detective Thompson said that on October 29 liwst he interviewed accused at Cashmere Sanatorium, where ho was then employed. Accused said he had bought the machine, but he would not «ay where. Accused bolted after tJio interview. An information was laid and r. warrant issued for hi« arrest, but he was not loeated till April 17.
Accused pleaded guilty, and was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence. Bail was allowed.
