ENGINEERS' STRIKE.
TROUBLE MAY EXTEND.

SYDNEY, this day,
A strike of engineers at Lysaght Brothers' wire-netting works at Abbotsford has occurred. The strikers complain that the company has offered men mtaff positions without extra pay, thus rendering it necessary for men to resign from the union, wheh course is designed to break their union. Twenty-three men are involved in the trouble, which is likely to extend.
