FATAL LORRY ACCIDENT.

PUKEKOHE, Saturday.
The motor lorry in which Charles Wepi, aged 4J years, was riding when he was killed was driven by a man who had never driven a motor vehicle before.
This fact was disclosed at the inquest which was held at Taniwha on Saturday.
The driver. Henry Tetahua, said that rounding a bend, the lorry skidded in some loose metal and almost simultaneously a >tyre was punctured. The lorry ran off the road and capsized over a hank. It rolled over twice. The child's head was crushed by the lorry. The witnpss said he had never driven a motor vehicle before. Another native showed him b<T»v to start the lorrv.
The jury returned a verdict, of accidental death, and added a rider that the accident micht havp been avoided if the driver had had more experience.
