BRITAIN IN ADEN.
COMMISSIONER APPOINTED. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, April 2. His Majesty the King has appointed Lieutenant-Colonel Stewart Symes, Chief Secretary to the Government of Palestine, to be Resident and Com-mander-in-Crief at Aden. He will succeed Major-General Sir Keith Stewart. The appointment is the first made under the new arrangements for the administration of Aden, whereby the responsibility for political and military matters is vested in the British Government, and the internal and municipal administration of the settlement of Aden remains the responsibility of the Government of India.
