LIQUOR PROSECUTION.
LICENSEE'S APPEAL UPHELD. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Monday. Giving its decision in the appeals of Timothy O'Connell, of Wellington, barman, and Michael Burke, of Wellington, hotelkeeper, against J. W. Claason, police sergeant, from convictions by Mr. E. Page, S.M., under the Licensing Act, the Appeal Court to-day upheld the magistrate's conviction against O'Connell, but considered the conviction against Burke should not stand. No costs were allowed either party.
