HAMILTON COUNCIL.
RESULT OP BY-ELECTION. (By Telegraph—Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, Monday. Mr. F. H. Clapham was elected to-day to fill the vacancy on the Hamilton Borough Council, caused by the resignation of Mr. P. C. Field. The borough electoral roll shows a tqtal number of 7780, only 1011 of whom exercised their right to vote. The voting was as follows:—F. H. Clapham, 539; C. J. W. Barton, 315; C. H. Andrews, 113.
