SOUTHLAND BAM FAIR.
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) INVERCARGILL, this day. At the annual ram fair to-day, the yarding totalled about 900, of which about one-half were Romneys. There was keen bidding, and stud Romneys made up to 66 guineas. Mr. Allen Gait, of Waimate, sold seven, the top price being 45 guineas. Castlerock rams made up to 30 guineas, and Lincoln College 31 guineas. Flock rams were not in keen demand. Romneys realised up to 14 guineas and Shropshire* 8 guineas.
