TRIBUTE FROM MINISTER.

Tributes to the memory of the late Mr. James Drummond, headmaster of the Auckland Grammar School, were paid yesterday in St. James' Presbyterian Church by the Rev. E. R. Hames, and in the Sunday school by the superintendent, Mr. A. J. Entrican. Mr. Drummond first attended St. James' as a boy. His elder son, Mr. J. R. Drummond, is elerk to the board of managers, and his brother, Mr. Peter Drummond. is deputysuperintendent of the Sunday school. Mr. Harries made reference to tbe la to Mr. Drummond's varied and able scholarship and to the gifts of teaching and administration that had made him a great headmaster. Addressing a meeting of the teachers of the Sunday school Mr. Entrican said that Mr. Drummond had joined the school about 48 yaars ago, and had attended faithfully for a great number of years. It was resolved | that a special minute be prepared and a | copy forwarded to Mrs. Drummond.
