STOLEN CAR FOUND.
DRIVEN INTO RIVER. JOY-RIDERS BLAMED. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) MJAfiUAWAHIA, this day. The hood of a motor car was seen protruding a few inches from the water of the Waipa River yesterday morning. A search was made and it was ascertained that there was no one in the car. Evidently some joy-riders had tried to destroy it after using it. It has now- been ascertained that the owner of the car is Mrs. M. E. Shaw, of Hamilton. The car was taken from the street outside a cabaret at 11.30 o'clock on Saturday night. It is not known who took it.
The car is now being retrieved from the river.
