TRUST, LOAN AND INVESTMENT

At the annual meeting of the Trust, Loan and Investment Company, held yesterday in Wellington, the chairman, Mr. J. A. Plimmer, in moving the adoption of the report and balance-«hect, said the accounts for the past year disclosed a satisfactory position considering that general finance had been stringent throughout that period. After recommending the payment of a dividend of per cent for the half year ended December 31, 1927, which, together with the interim dividend makes 8 per cent for the year, they were able to place £1500 to the reserve fund from the profits, now making it the substantial sum of £78,500, which was practically covered by the liquid assets as stated in the balance-sheet, including the company's valuable business premises on Lambton Quay, which were unencumbered. The report and balance-sheet were adopted. Messrs J. J. Reich and O. S. Watkins were re-elected directors and Messrs. E. W. Hunt and G. F. Judd were re-appointed auditors. NEW REGISTRATION. One new private company has been registered in Auckland. The particulars are as follows: —

Goodwin and Moorcraft, Limited, manufacturers, buyers, sellers and dealers in vehicles of all descriptions. Capital, £3000, divided into 300 shares of £1 each, of which 850 shall be preference shares, 1800 ordinary shares and 350 deferred shares. Subscribers: Walter Caspa Goodwin, 700 ordinary shares; Robert Martin Moorcraft. 700 ordinary and 350 deferred shares; Walter Moorcraft, 850 preference and 400 ordinary shares.
