BUSY IN THE HOLIDAYS.
BURGLARS ROB HOUSES.

CHRISTCHURCH, Monday. Several homes in Christchurch have been robbed while t'?ir owners have been absent on holiday. Mr. A. H. Cavell, solicitor, lost plate and silverware, and Mrs. Henderson, of Slater, Street, lost over £40 worth of jewellery.
Mr. Hugh J. Herriott, grocer, of Innes Road, St. Albans, left his home at 9.45 a.m. on Saturday. When he returned at 9.15 p.m., he found that the house had been entered by a window which had been left open, and jewellery valued at £40 had been stolen
Mr. Thornhill Cooper, whose home is at the corner of Weston Road and Papanui Road, lost, over £30 worth of linen; wines and qaritfc
