WEDDINGS OF THE WEEK.
BALLENTYNE—LUNDON. At the Holy Trinity Church, Devonport, last evening, Miss Rhona Lundon, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Lundon, of Remuera, was married to Mr. Joseph Ballentyne, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. J. Ballentyne, Devonport. The Rev. Wingfield officiated. The . bride, who was given away by. her father, wore a charming gown of the palest pink and silver tissue, with a dainty overdress of silver lace. The long tulle veil which was worn as a . train - was embroidered in silver bells and orange blossom,-and she carried a beautiful shower bouquet in tone of pink. She was attended by Miss Betty Lundon and Miss Peggy Ballentyne as bridesmaids: Miss Lundon wore a frock of wedgwood blue crepe de chine and gold lace. shade, similarly made, and she also carried a bouquet to tone. Their headdresses were in the form of little tulle caps to match their frocks. The bridegroom was supported by Mr. Rowland Brown as best man, and Mr. Eric Lundon as groomsman. After the ceremony the reception was held at the home of Mrs. D. W. McLean, aunt of the bride, which was beautifully decorated for the occasion with masses of flowers. Mrs. Lundon wore a frock of black chiffon velvet embossed in large roses in shades of cyclamen, rose, and green. Her I hat was of gold tissue, and she carried la bouquet to tone. Mrs. Ballentyne wore a frock of black taffeta with Oriental trimming, and black hat, and carried a posy to tone. Mrs. McLean was in black satin, with iridescent sequin overdress, and hat to tone.
