AUCKLAND ACTIVITIES.
TWO CEREMONIES TO-MORROW
NEW HEADQUARTERS AND MEN'S HOME. Commissioner James Hay, 0.8.E.. leader of Salvation Army operations in New Zealand, will visit Auckland tomorrow for the purpose of dedicating the site :n Grey's Avenue for the new buildings for the future conduct of the Army's operations in the Auckland province, and also to open the new premises for the Prison Gate Brigade and Industrial Home for men, to replace the home destroyed by fire last January.
A dedication and flag hoisting ceremony will take place in Grey's Avenue at 12.30 p.m'. to-morrow, when Commissioner Hay will make a progress statement of financial assistance, and explain the purposes for which the building to be erected will be utilised.
Other speakers will be Miss Melville Rev. J. Kemp and Mr. Robert Laidlaw
The Men's Home, Williamson Street, Epsom, will be opened at 3 p.m. The work of this institution lias been a great benefit to thousands of men who have been received from prisma and Police Court, and for men without home or means. The work has ben carried on under extreme difficulty during the winter. The management will be greatly relieved in taking charge of a new and up-to-date building.
