FRANKTON STOCK SALE.
PRICES GENERALLY FIRM.

The Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Co., Ltd., report that at the' weekly stock market at the Frankton yards yesterday, there was a full entry of fat cattle. Prices were firmer than in the previous week, especially for ox beef. There was a small entry of store cattle, which sold at late rates. A full number of fat sheep was submitted. Prime sheep were sold at late values, forward and unfinished sorts were easier. There was a fair entry of fat pigs, and also a large number of stores. They sold at last week's rates. Quotations: — ' Beef.—Prime bullocks, £13 5/; good quality medium Weights, £12 14/; choice prime heavy heifers, £11 5/; heavy prime cowb, £9 to £9 10/; lighter prime cows and heifers, £8 10/ to £8 17/6; medium weights, £7 10/ to £8 2/6; light prime, £6 to £7; plain heavy cows, £6 9/ to £7; unfinished cows, £4 5/ to £5; store cows, £2 15/ to £3. Sheep.—Prime heavy fat wethere sold to 40/9; fight to medium wethere, 33/9 to 35/4; fair fat ewes, 27/6 to 28/6; store to forward ewes, 20/6; extra prime woolly hoggets, 33/; medium fat hoggets, 24/6. Pigs.—Heavy baconers, £3 to £3 4/; light baconers, £2 13/ to £2 18/; heavy porkers, £2 10/ to £2 15/; light, £2 to £2 6/; slips, 24/ to 29/; best weaners, 18/ to 23/; small and young, 10/ to 14/; sows, in pig, £3 10/ to £4 5/; choppers, £3 to £4.
