HAMILTON v. CAMBRIDGE.
(By Telegraph.—Special to 'Stur.'j CAMBRIDGE, Saturday. In ideal weather and playing conditions, Hamilton and Cambridge representatives met here in the presence of 600 spectators. A hard, fast, and exciting game ended in a win for the visitors by S to 0. The half-time ecoie was Hamilton 3, Cambridge 0. In the second spell Clemett soured for Hamilton by smart eolo work. Cambridge had the best of the spell, their forwards excelling in the loose, though Hamilton were hooking better. Both sets of backs gave a good display. Immediately after resuming the second half W. Bourke kicked a penalty goal tor Cambridge. In the last quarter enappy short passing by Christie, Brough and Boulham ended in the last-named scoring a line try, which Going converted. Just on the call of time Cambridge attacked, and Kusso and Hall were seen in a short passing movement, the first named scored a good try. Though it was in easy distance W. Bourke failed to goal.
A draw was about the merits of the teams. Hamilton were minus six reps, playing in the Waikato team, and Cambridge had two away.
