MT. ALBERT'S GROWTH.
NEW COUNCIL. CHAMBERS. MINISTERIAL OPEXIXG. This afternoon the new offices of the Mount Albert Borough Council in New North Road were officially opened by the Hon. G. J. Anderson. Minister of Labour and Marine. The ceremony started at 2.30. The new building, which has just been completed, is a handsome architectural structure and stands opposite the old premises. The building was designed by Mr. D. D. Patterson and erected by Mr. W. E. Johns. It is a two-storeyed structure in brick and concrete. On the ground floor are the departments of the office staff, and upstairs there are the Council Chambers, the engineers' department and the committee rooms.
