THEFT NOT PROVED.
EX-MANAGER CHARGED. CBy Telegraph.—Press Attodattoa.t CHRIBTCHURCH, this day. Henry Joseph Morris, an ex-manager of the Christchurch branch of Messrs. Bchneideman and Sons, Ltd., was charged to-day with the theft of 25/, the property of the firm. The charge was dismissed after much evidence had been heard. It was alleged W the prosecution that one receipt had been altered.
The magistrate said there evidently had been carelessness somewhere, but the evidence was insufficient to prove theft.
