BREAKING AND ENTERING. REMARKS BY JUDGE. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The criminal sessions of the Supreme Court opened before Mr. Justice Alpers to-day. His Honor congratulated the district on the comparatively short calendar of crime. Although two indictments were serious, he was glad to note that there were none of those distressing cases of breaches of trust or embezzlement from employers or the Government departments which were painfully common in other centres. The cases here, however, were of a kind unfortunately common in the North Island, viz., breaking and entering.
