WAGE INCBEASE WANTED.
RESTORATION OF 1922 "CUT."
(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) . WELLINGTON, Monday.
The executive of the Post and Telegraph Employees' Association passed the following resolution:—"This association disagrees with the recent published statement of the secretary of the department, that because of the possibility of a decrease in post and telegraph revenue for the coining year there should be no immediate prospects for all-round increases in salaries. The association is of the opinion that in view of the record surplus of £870,000 for the past year an immediate restoration of the £25 per annum reductions suffered under the Public Expenditure Adjustment Act of 1922 should be made, it being remembered that the percentage increase in the «°"* °f J»vin& is to-day on a par wjth WWV when the Government adjusted •fwnea and wages to meet living cost? 2 **2$H *ft *SPI|««9/Jf |50 per
