STRANDED REVUE ARTIST.

TO RETURN TO AMERICA. DUNCAN AGAIN BEFORE COURT CAME TO AUCKLAND OX HIS OWX. Clifford Duncan (22), the American negro, who was a member of the Ferris Jazzland Revue Company which disbanded in Auckland some time ago, made a further appearance at the Police Court to-day on a charge of being an idle and disorderly person with insufficient means of support. When he appeared last week the police stated that he had been found in a doorway in Grey Street early one morning. He had no home, no work and no money. Duncan had cabled his relatives in America, but had not yet received a reply. This morning Senior Sergeant Edwards stated that he had got into touch with Duncan's bondsman who was in Wellington. The bondsman said that he hefd accused's return ticket to San Francisco, also sufficient money to pay for Duncan's railway fare from 'Frisco to Los Angeles. Duncan, said the bondsman, had come to Auckland on his own accord. Duncan was ordered to come up for sentence when called upon. He leaves for America by the next steamer, leaving on April 26.
