FIRE AT OTAHUHU.

DWELLING HOUSE BURNT OUT

A disastrous fire occurred at Otahuhu in the early hours of yesterday, a sixroomed house in Albert Street, owned and occupied by Mr. William Grayson, being completely destroyed. Mr. Grayson, who was alone in the house, retired about 11 p. m . O n Saturday. About two hours later he was awakened by a noise, and on opening the breakfast room door, was fronted by a dense volume of smoke and flame. The alarm was given to the Otahuhu Brigade, which soon had two jets playing on the building, b,,t the fire had obtained a firm hold, and little was left but the outer walls.
