PRESENTATION.
MR. WILLIAM MITCH ELI.. J j An old and valued employee of the j Brett Printing and Publishing Company, Mr. William Mitchell, has retired after 142 years' service, and as a mark of j esteem he received a presentation from the heads of departments and members of the office and reporting staffs. Mr. Mitchell has an enviable record of very faithful service. In the pie-company dnvs he was accountant, and then when ,the business was turned into a company I he became secretary, a po>t he held right lup to the time of his retirement. Mr. I Mitchell joined the "Star" when it was I only ].") years aid, so that he has seen ja remarkable growth both in the journal and in the city it serves. In handing 'him a travelling bag and two travelling imps, liis colleagues expressed the hope that he would live long to enjoy his wellearned leisure. k
