CAR WRECKED AT TAMAKI.
TAKEN FROM AUCKLAND.
A MYSTERIOUS AFFAIR.
Inquiries arc being made by the police into the mysterious circumstance* under which a niotor car, stolen from Hβ p§rking place in Lhauccry Une, Auckland, last evening, was discovered (o-<liy, • total wreck, by the side of the main road at East T«maki. The air bad evidently burst into flames. All that remain* in the framework; the coachwork and upholstery are burnt out The car is the property of Mr. William Ferrers Grccnhank, of Alt." Pleasant Road, Dominion Road. It was left in the. Chancery Lane parking Mat ion at 7.30, and when the owner returned, three hours later, it was missing. The pallet were informed, but no more was heard of the car until thu morning, when an oflioer on duty at Otahuhti learned that the hinoul(i«<riiijr remains of a motor car were lying by the roadnide. Apparently nobody had scon the car brought to the spot, mid how it came to be destroyed .a not yet known.
