Eight charges of theft were admitted Jiy » lad aged 1"»J at the Children's Court this morning. He had stolen £18 5/.
It was stated that tho boy had taken the money from his employer and tho people with whom he lived. Tin: lad had been well brought up, but his mother had been taken ill, and had found it ini|>ossible to keep him under proper control.
In committing tho boy to the care of the Superintendent of the Child Welfare Department, Mr. K. C. Cut ten, s.M.. stated that it wan within the. power of that officer to send him to the Wcraroa training farm.
