The bill will compel large landholders 5 to subdivide or place under agriculture 7 large holdings which are now utilised for ; pastoral purposes. The areas to be compulsorily subdivided apply only to l land suitable for agricultural purposes. A graduated tax will be imposed on the land with an exemption of £10,000 > in value.
