COASTAL STEAMER'S BOAT. ! CREW OF FOUR LEFT BEHIND. WILL REJOIN SHIP LATER. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WELLINGTON, this day. An oil-driven surf boat, landing stores and fencing posts from the steamer Kotumii at Pahau for Cameron's station, broke the line connecting it with an anchor beyond the breakers, and was swamped. The crew tried for four hours to relaunch the boat, but without success, and they gave tip owing to the increasing swell. The chief oflieer. Mr. McPherson, with three seamen, borrowed a horse and rode overland, and caught n service car to Wellington. The steamer herself is expected to arrive in port thi> morning. The boat is safe on the beach and undamaged.
