TO TOUR BRITAIN.

Project to Engage Suzanne Lenglen. PROFESSIONALISM GROWING. LONDON, February 20. According to the "Daily Express" Mile. Suzanne- Lenglen is expected to come to London shortly in order to discuss the financial details in connection with a proposal to stage a series of tennis matches in which she will play in England. The promoters are planning that at first Mile. Lenglen shall play twice daily at the Albert Hall, London. Afterwards a series of games will be played in every large town in Britain. followed by games in all the European capitals. The promoters say professional tennis is bound to grow, and that shortly there will be professional tennis championships in every country. If it could be arranged to play the final in London it would be at least equal to Wimbledon as an attraction. The promoters want Mrs. Godfrey, the only woman player in the world who has ever worried MIL. Lenglen, to become a professional player. GREAT SUCCESS. GLADYS MONCRIEFF AT DALY'S (Received 10.30 a.m.) LONDON, February 20. Miss Gladys Moncrieff, who took Mdlle. Elizabeth Pechy's place as leading lady, had a wonderful reception last evening at the first performance at Daly's Theatre of the new musical comedy, "The Blue Mazurka." Her singing charmed the audience, who loudly applauded every number. The "Daily Express" critique regarding Miss Gladys Moncrieff in the "Blue Mazurka," says that though managers for a year have been searching for stars, her fine stage presence and magnificent soprano voice were not thought worthy of attention. They must have been wondering on Saturday night why the lady who came 13,000 miles should have been spurned. She looked beautiful and sang divinely.
