PETROL FATALITY.

ENGINE BACK-FIRES. (Received 11 a.m.) SYDNEY, this day. While filling the tank of a wagon with petrol at a bond store at Pyrmont, engine back-fired, causing the petrol to explode. J. Cahill and C. Smith were trapped in the flames behind the wagon. Thi'y were badly burned and died in hospital.
