OIL IN NEW ZEALAND.
(To the Editor.) Sir, —I can testify to the truth of "Albert's" statement regarding the published remarks by Mr. Broue, who was described as an "expert." On his statement I thought it was good enough to invest and I couldn't get in quickly enough with my few pounds. Mind, ) am not squealing at the loss of a few pounds, but when an "expert" and a director of a company states, as his considered opinion, "That the first oil-field has been definitely established within the British Empire/ one gets the feeling that he knows what he is talking about. In this case he evidently did not know, as the bore was shut down suddenly soon after. In this connection it would be of great interest to many others besides myself to know if," the other directors were cognisant of the contents of this statement before it was published. If so, then they should share the blame.—l am, etc., AMBOXIA.
