MAORI WAR VETERANS.
MEETING OF THE ASSOCIATION. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.; i PALMERSTON NdRTH. this day. The annual meeting of the Maori War Veterans' Association was held yesterday. The annual report stated 78 Maori War pensioners had died during the period from October 1, 1925, to September 30, 1926. The total number now drawing the pension is 398. The.strength of the association is: Taranaki, 40; 8; Wellington, -8; Hastings, 12; Manawatu, 6;! total 74. The members decided that in r future the annual meetings be held in different centres; ; and New - Plymouth- was appointed the venue for the next annual meeting, the -secretary; of that branch " to be the general -secretary of the association. : ~' v 'X-V'-v.'/ ■ ._" ' — _
