SOUTH AUCKLAND SYNOD. The Methodist Synod of the South Auckland district will recommend the conference to appoint an additional minister to the Te Aroha circuit. The church property returns show considerable activity, notably in the erection of Wesley Chambers, Hamilton, at a cost of £35.767. New purchases had been made, and, in addition to the Wesley Chambers, a new parsonage had been erected at Putaruru at a cost of £9(0. Home mission grants are recommended for various circuits and home mission stations, including Whakatane, £130. Paeroa and Hauraki Plains, £lw? Opotiki, £110; Taumarunui, £110; ant Ohura, £100.
