BANK OF ENGLAND RETURNS.
LONDON, November 18. The Bank of England returns for the week ended November 18, as compared with those for the week ended November 11 are as follows:—
SHORT LOANS AND BILLS. Short loans, 4 per cent, compared with 44 per cent last -week; three months' bills. 4 11 / i« per cent, compared with 4} per cent last week. BRADFORD TOPS. The Bradford tops market is steady but cautious, and prices are firm. Sixtyrours, 45.d; sixties, 43d; firty-sixes, 31jd; nrties, 26d; forty-sixes, 2ld; forties, 20d. RABBIT SKIN BALES. At the London rabbit skin sales 3300 were offered. There was ralr general competition for furriers' sorts at 10 per cent above September rates. Medium hatters' sorts were at late rates to 5 per cent decline, lower grades 5 to 10 per cent higher. Germans competed strongly for best furriers' sorts. WHEAT, FLOUR, AND PULSE. Wheat cargoes are steadier on the less favourable coal outlook and pessimistic Argentina weather news, and, despite lower American reports and increased Australian estimates, parcels are quiet and occasionally higher. Liverpool futures: December, 11/4 i per cental; March, 10/6 J. The spot trade Is quiet, tending In buyers' favour. Flour.—Dull. Oats and Beans. —Quiet. Peas. —Steady.
