LEAGUE FOOTBALL.
SEASON ENDS TO-MORROW.
CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS,
The Auckland Rugby League's season will close to-morrow at Carlaw Park, when the champion of champions match for the Stormont Shield will be played between Ponsouby and Richmond. The latter team on Saturday last won the Roope Rooster by defeating Devonport, while earlier in the season Ponsonby secured the club' championship. Both sides have shown good football, and as the Stormont Shield is a very fine trophy they will be anxious to secure victory. The curtain raisers will include matches by four schoolboy] teams. There was little business to be done at the meeting of the Management Committee at the Auckland Rugby League this week, when the chairman, Mr. W. J. Hammill, presided. A cap, the gift of an anonymous donor, was presented to K. Mackle, of the City Club. The cap bore the Inscription " For consistent good- play." ■ It was announced . that on Wednesday n<!xt a match bad been allotted to the New Zealand Council, and' the game arranged would be between the Auckland colts ''and a B section representative team. Veteran League players would play a curtain raiser.

Third Grade. — Devonport v. Graf ton, Grey, Lynn, 2.30 p.m., Mr. A. Coulam. Fourth Grade. — Richmond •v. Graf ton, Grey' Lynn. 1.30 p.m.. Mr. H. Neil. Other Matches. — Kinesland Juniors v. Huntly.
