NEW ZEALANDERS WELCOME. • COUNTIES GLAD TO SEE THEM. (By Telegraph—Special to "Star.") CHRISTCHURCH, this day. Writing to the New Zealand Cricket Council from London with reference to the New Zealand team's visit to England, Mr. A. Sims stated - it was remarkable that everyone was willing to give New Zealand a match. He regarded it as a Compliment to New Zealand, as it was by no means easy to get counties, with their full programmes, to take any additional matches, particularly when they did not expect to get any profit out of them.
