RIFLE SHOOTING.
AKARANA CLUB. Members of the above club fired the second competitions on Saturday for trophies presented by Miss Reston, the president, and Mr. D. Calder. Ten shots were fired at 500 and 600 yards. A swinging wind from left to rear puzzled many competitors. Points towards the trophies were gained by the first three men ii each section, i.e., 3. 2, and 1. Silver spoons were won by Riflemen W.
