John Collier, Robert Collier and HiTa Kawiti, were charged at the Police Court with stealing benzine at Edgecombe and Rotorua. With the stolen benzine they went to Rotorua and back on. a joy ride. All pleaded guilty. "Phillip and John Collier were each fined £10 and coste, while Robert Collier and Kawiti were remanded to appear before the magistrate next week. Both the latter were fined a fortnight ago for theft of benzine from farmers' cream stands. They were given time to pay the fine when their present lapse occurred.
